Beach days may officially be behind us as we all start heading back inside during the cooler temps. I’m an interior designer and I do declare: ’tis the season for a home refresh. Have you taken a look around? That rug in the bedroom is looking a little threadbare and that broken chair in your home office just won’t do. It’s time to freshen up your space and Wayfair’s 5 Days of Deals is the perfect time to shop for those decor items you’ve been meaning to purchase. We’ve curated some of their best deals below, but you can shop for even more and score up to 80% off on their site from October 7th to the 11th.

Not only can you save big on attractive home goods, but Wayfair is giving back and donating 10% of the sales to Built For Zero by Community solutions, an organization whose mission is to eradicate homelessness. So while you snuggle up on that new sofa, you can feel good that you’ve helped someone in need do so, as well. These deals won’t last long, so get clicking…

KITCHEN

It’s back to work and back to school season— feeling the pressure? Take one thing off your plate with this one pot cooker from Cuisinart. Simply chop your ingredients, toss them into the pot and let this appliance do the rest, quickly and deliciously. An 8-quart capacity allows you to cook a meal large enough for the whole family, and if someone is late to dinner, it will keep it warm.

Says a convert, “High quality- definitely recommend!” Another reviewer says, “It is fast, and not too big. I’m happy with my pressure cooker, at a fantastic price.”

I often source these bar stools for clients. They’re stylish, durable and the price can’t be beat (they’re only $108 per stool). Available in bar or counter height and a selection of beautiful leather colors, these mid-century beauties will be a welcome upgrade to your kitchen or bar without breaking the bank.

Says a five star reviewer, “These are gorgeous. Sturdy, well made. Not wobbly, have not scratched. I have received a lot of compliments! They might be my favorite furniture purchase ever!”

LIVING ROOM

A great piece for snug spaces, I’d recommend this lamp table for a small space apartment or tight corner you’ve turned into a reading nook. Made of metal and wood, with a soft touch of linen on the shade, this end table will blend into any transitional, rustic farmhouse or boho vibe. I’m all about form and function, and this piece fits the bill thanks to storage shelves, a place to prop a cup of tea and a book, and a light to illuminate it all.

A happy customer says, “Easy assembly takes up very little space. Nice looking lamp, and the swivel design is a nice feature!”

BEDROOM

A naturally distressed look with a subtle stripe makes this the perfect base to that boho bedroom or airy living room. I love that it’s a natural fiber, and the price for an 8 x 10 100% wool rug is a steal. A touch of black gives it depth, while the cream tones and variegated weave remind me of a snuggly cable knit sweater.

“LOVE this rug!” says a thrilled reviewer. “It has beautiful off-white, gray and black tones in it and a cozy texture. Looks great in our living room. Now to get a coffee table that does the rug justice!”

OFFICE

If you work from home, having a comfortable office chair is a must. I recommend the classic black for the office. If you’re into gaming, then the racey red or blue might be what you’re seeking— perfect for that teenager’s room.

“This PC & Racing Game Chair was ‘just right.’ It is comfortable with excellent lumbar support. Very stylish too. I love it,” says a reviewer working from home. Another reviewer has a creative idea, “I love these chairs and am using them with my poker table that matches the colors. The chairs are very comfortable for long card games and move around the floor with ease.”

DINING

Tablescapes are an art of their own, and you need to start with an eye-catching base to set the stage for your dinnerware. Another natural fiber, handmade beauty in the bunch is this tablecloth made of pre-shrunk linen and cotton. I love the center stitching and tassel details.

Touts a satisfied reviewer, “Light and bright! I’ve washed it twice already it still looks brand new. No need to iron, it comes out perfect.” Another raves, “This is a beautiful tablecloth. Colors are true to picture.”

BATHROOM

Elegant in its design, this faucet by Delta is sure to add a little glam to that powder room. The 4-inch spread faucet comes with the matching drain assembly. Diamond Seal Technology features a valve embedded with diamonds to ensure like-new operation for the life of the faucet.

Says a fan, “The faucet looks beautiful in the kids bathroom and was easy to install. It is a heavy faucet and seems well made. I know it will wear well and Delta has amazing service on their products.”

FOR ANY ROOM IN THE HOUSE

Need an extra guest bed? I often recommend convertible sofas to my clients, so the piece does double duty. Sofa by day, twin bed by night, this tidy looking sofa features a multi-position back, so you can lounge somewhere in between. Stain- and mildew-resistant fabric makes this a great addition to basements, attic spaces or anywhere you could use an extra sleeper.

This five-star reviewer says, “Great sleeper and very comfortable sofa. Fabric has done well with children and a large dog enjoying it.” Another informs us, “The orange color is more of a rust – very rich and pretty. Not too hard to put together but just the right size for a kids bedroom where you need a little seating and one extra bed on occasion.”
